Just how much and what kind of stuff is being sold by the gov't as legitimate surplus?
I always figured the surplus stores went away because supplies dried up.

Anyone remember a chain of army surplus stores by the name of Southern Sales?
I may not be remembering correctly, since it's been a few decades. I seem to remember them being bought out by Academy and then Academy having a corner of their stores dedicated to surplus goods until that inventory was gone.

I bought a couple of web rifle slings there. Both were rotten and came apart after a few rounds.cdc101 wrote:I was actually just there today and they are still kicking.
