When you're looking at the list of new posts, what is the meaning when the text scrolls in the icon to the left of the message?
Someone reading that thread? or posting?

Re: We're back and with a new look!
I leave my computer on almost all the time, at least for several days at a time.
There are always a half dozen windows open, so the browser is never closed.
When I retired last night, the 'new posts' were at 79.
When I returned to the forum this morning, there were 46 'new posts'.
So it appears the number will manage itself.

Re: We're back and with a new look!
What is the criteria for 'View New Posts'?
This option is good for me to stay caught up with the board, but I have watched the new posts increase in number to 77.
Twice, I tried 'marking forums read', thinking it might clear what the board considers 'new posts'.
It had no effect.
This isn't a problem, as the new posts are at the start of the two pages of posts.
I was just wondering if there was a way to clear the list and start over.
My use pattern is such that I leave and reenter the board many times each day, while staying logged in.
