Re: What's the proper way to load the +1?
In my Glock 26, it's just a 10 round mag, but it allows me to add the +1, pretty much making it an 11 round mag.

Re: I'm beginning to hate my city.....
Topgun has 2-day classes every week in the evening, and 1-day classes on Saturdays... check it out. When I went, it was mostly 8-to-5 type professionals who left work a little early to squeeze it into their schedules. There's a similar schedule at Top Gun as well....get it taken care of, and you'll...

Re: How long does it take to clean your pistol's, ARs etc.
On friday, I just bought my first handgun, a Glock 26. I can't really say how long it takes yet, because when I was cleaning it, I kept having to pause that and go do something else. With interruptions included, it took me about 45 minutes.
Next time I'll do it with no interruptions.

Re: I'm beginning to hate my city.....
I need to get my stuff together. The Chevron this happened at, is a couple of minutes away from the house. On Friday, I purchased my first handgun. I've been trying to finally go for my chl ($140 paid online on October 31.), but work has been hectic as of late. I might just miss a day of making mone...

Re: Cheap 7.62 at Academy
At the academy on Westheimer and Hwy 6, they just received like 800 cases of these by mistake. Now these are 500 rounds per case mind you, but there was a guy who they did a special order for, for 20,000 rounds (which is 40 cases). Somehow they ended up shipping 800 cases instead. They have been sel...

Re: Difference in TX chl class and Utah cfp?
Since you are in Houston, Charles is in your neck of the woods. I took the class he offered in Austin over the summer, and it was top notch. That sounds great! Now to find time though. Right now work is really busy with the holidays coming up and all, but I will definately find the time some time d...

Difference in TX chl class and Utah cfp?
Long time, no posting here. Anyway, I know in the Texas chl classes there's the range test and then the written. But, I heard there's no shooting section in the Utah class. So my question is, what exactly is done in the Utah class? I'm not too long from taking the TX chl class, but I know things in ...

Yeah, I agree. Although, there's a lot of good advice on this site but it's always best to get it confirmed, depending on the subject. You were still helpful though, and I appreciate that.

Re: Can of worms to open here
I haven't got my plastic yet, but when I do, you best believe I'm going to still go to the range at least twice a week. I don't think that anything should change though, what purpose would that serve?

Re: Concerns regarding background check
Yes, the wait! I know it's going to be a very aggravating wait, but it will be worth my while.
Before I take the class though, I just want to go to the range and practice, I know I'm a bit rusty.

Re: Concerns regarding background check
Well, I contacted the Concealed Handgun Bureau in Austin by email, which I felt was a better way for them to understand my situation, because when I did call, the guy cut me off and gave me an answer before I finished. On the email, I pretty much said the same thing that I said here, only it was a l...

Re: Concerns regarding background check
That's alright, I will just patiently wait until it's been 5 years, it's not that long of a wait actually. It's worth it.chewy555 wrote:

Re: Concerns regarding background check
CertifiedKJ, I think you might not be eligible for a CHL quite yet. The one class C misdemeanor which counts is disorderly conduct. I believe you have to wait for a period of 5 years from the conviction date. From what you posted, you were sixteen when you went to court. You are now 21. This means ...
