It could be an old-age "fart of the brain"sjfcontrol wrote:I would think you could preach to the new shooters all you want, it wouldn't help an EMPLOYEE that should know better.Beiruty wrote: Most likely said employee grabbed the slide of the pistol from the front side with his left hand's palm and wanted to rack the slide back with force to slide it back while at the same time his trigger finger is not off the trigger. Force and counter force, lead to tightening of his trigger finger and resulting of discharge of live round in the barrel.
What I would have recommended is that each new shooter should attend a 3-mins "safety briefing" with an RO before he is on the firing line.

That VIP membership is 7500 dollars initiation dues and 240 dollars a month! that is some serious exclusivity right there. I would rather put that kind of money into some land I can shoot on.sjfcontrol wrote:Beruty hasi think.03Lightningrocks wrote:Any forum members join as VIP yet?
I think I am going to do the one Beiruty did. It's 450 a year, now that they are open and 410 to renew per year. No range fees. I would get my money's worth. I currently pay around 100 a year at bullet trap and then have to spend about 250 a year on a "shooter card" to cover my range usage. Bullet trap is a real dive compared to the Frisco Range. Same owners by the way.

Re: Accidental shooting - Frisco Gun Club
I just came back from Frisco gun club. You would be excited to know that shooting lanes are separated by ballistic-armored glass. I could not believe it the the one shooter to my left was sweeping me with his muzzle. Ah, and that Asian guy with his AR-15 was sliding-fire (using the sliding fire stock) his 9mm upper as if the Ammo is free. Just pure waste of Ammo.
It was fun on the pistol range to coach a new shooter shooting my PX4 Full size in 9mm. I did not have chance to shoot rifle at the 100 yrds. Only 2-lanes are operating and still there is no cameras to check your target impact. Those 2 issues should be resolved soon.
The store was crowded as if it is a gun-show. Also, the 10% off almost all firearms and 25% off all accessories is just bonanza draw to the new store. HK firearms stands are awesome.
Tons of fun.
