I had a cop tell me one time, in a semi-joking way when my car was broken into and I called him to take a report, "if you keep your gun in it's holster, I'll do the same". My response was "Likewise". He gave me a knowing smile and we moved on with my report knowing where we both stood with one another. He wasn't in for taking any junk and neither was I at the moment.

He and got along real well and he dusted for prints and did all he was supposed to do and I appreciated his assistance.

Who said anyone was afraid? It's a matter of common sense and proper setting. The lack of both of the aforementioned will ensure that we lose the right to exercise said right with common sense in the correct setting.
