Thanks Beiruty. I had read some partial, related facts, but not the whole story like this. I remember when the pictures first came out of Stevens' body being carried, everyone assumed they were parading around his corpse. And then the facts came out, like you have quoted, that in reality these civilians were trying to save him. It makes me wonder if they were part of the protest group? That would be ironic. And it would also prove that the assault on the consulate was done by another group. Regardless, it is refreshing to know that in the midst of all the chaos in Libya, there are many good men like the ones mentioned in that article.

Bottom line, the muslim quran supports what the muslim terrorists are doing and the so called "extremist" are able to point to the quran to justify what they call a "holy war" but in reality, is a political war as they want to kill or suppress any non-believers and rule the lands of the non-muslims. Muslims that claim to be non-extremist peaceful muslims are either ignorant of their quran or choosing to disobey the commands of the quran.

Beiruty, I have read a lot of what you've written on this forum, and I have a lot of respect for you, so I want to address you respectfully. Your underlined statement above is rather troublesome and I need to address it, because IMO it is a false moral equivalency. Which violent Christian extremists are you referring to? And why would you label them Christian - how are they using Christian teaching to justify their violence?

My understanding translated to English

96) Those who attribute to Allah, another partner in Godhood. They will know [what cometh to them in punishment; and, that they were wrong; and, they were the aggressors, the offenders]
97) Allah is addressing Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon him: Allah knows that you, Muhammad, your are silently bothered, and harmed with what they (the scoffers) are saying and you are keeping it to yourself [Not reacting in violent way].
98) Praise Allah, and do more prayers, be of those who make prostration for Allah [Worship Allah more]
99) And, worship your Lord [Allah] till you die.

What does the Quran say about Muslims that do not follow this advice ? What about those that react to insulting words with violence and murder instead of more prayer ?

What about those that would use the opportunity to incite others to violence instead of prayer ?
