And when I went to renew my DL, I was at DPS and a Deputy was going left and right eye balling all who are waiting like 40 persons in 2 lines in a small room. None noticed that I was carrying in a belly band with an extra mag on the weak side. Just act normal and mind your business (awarness) and everything would be allright.Teamless wrote:carry the one you feel comfortable handling and shooting.
with the right holster (Crossbreed or Comp-Tac) you can carry a 3" or 4" or longer.
You will be surprised how easy it is to conceal once YOU get over the fact that only YOU see the butt of gun or the crimp in your shirt or pants that no one else even has a clue of.
you just have to remember, you do need to dress around the weapon.

Re: Newbie to forum and CHL.
Welcome,
Pick what works best for you. Try it if you can or ask a friend who has the same pistol/gear. I have both the 3.8" compact pistol and the 3" subcompact pistol. It is only 0.8" longer on the barrel, I find my self 100% carry the subcompact and the other pistol is now dedicated for home defense and night outings.
