Never EVER hand someone a loaded gun. If the officer insists he needs my weapon..Ill insist that it is made safe.
Oh..and one more thing...Never EVER hand someone a loaded gun.
One problem, it might be not a choice, LEO are supposed to know how to handle firearms and many may demand that you not touch your firearm and proceed to disarm you.
