The CHL was on a 4-wheeler ATV and his Springer XD was in some kind of
handlebar-mounted bag. The game warden asked for the GG's ID, then
wanted to remove the gun.
When the game warden removed the XD, he had his finger on the trigger,
the grip safety was depressed, and he ended up shooting 1 round negligently.No people were wounded, but the front tire on the ATV was history. :-)

Never EVER hand someone a loaded gun. If the officer insists he needs my weapon..Ill insist that it is made safe.

One problem, it might be not a choice, LEO are supposed to know how to handle firearms and many may demand that you not touch your firearm and proceed to disarm you.
