I am carrying my P30 in smartcarry. I positioned to the either left or right, In Deep Cross draw mode, the gun barrel and the extra 15 rd mags (total of 31) :) would be just behind my left pocket. retrieving my pistol while seated in my car with seat-belt is on is virtually impossible.

If you lower the gun enough, the comfort is acceptable, but also make drawing the gun bit slower than needed. Also, if you have tight pants and buckled up good,, you may need to undo your belt. It makes the draw even a bit more slower and more troublesome.

As for comfort, rubbing the gun barrel to your legs could be an issue for some. One Improvement that I asked my wife to do soon is to add Decron padding and new Cotton layer. The inner side of the smart carry, the white side has already worn down from the barrel rubbing my body.

In the public, Re-holstering is a problem too.

Best scenario would be in case of need to use your tool of self defense, is to dodge the threat and take cover first then proceed to retrieve your tool.

With smartcarry there are so many Cons. My Pistol has Barrel length of 3.785" if, I do not see a problem if I was carrying a pistol with 5" or 6" barrel.
