I have been twice to LBJ grasslands for deer hunting.

Is it that true that there are deers on public land?

On both occasions I was like hunting Phantom Deers" or their ghosts. On Ladonia Unit, I had a better chance to see fresh tracks and huge rabbit. On Caddo Unit, I saw nothing but birds, big prey birds and wild gees.


Any hints or tips on what are the best practices to hunt on public land?
