Re: False accusation...
Pretty hard to draw a pistol, wave it around, and re-holster while riding a motorcycle. I'd ask her what hand "the guy waved at gun" at her with. Likely he flipped her off with the left hand. Hopefully your buddy is a right hander and carries on the right side. Otherwise it's a pretty goo...

Re: False accusation...
Sounds like the lady thought the bird the guy flipped was a gun. Then by sheer coincidence your buddy who was near the scene also on a bike was a CHLer who happened to be carrying. And to review, the lady misidentified a finger for a gun. Then thinks there's only one biker, by way of her identifying...

Re: Post Office Law Suit to Repeal Carry Rule
I ship USPS. I find it irritating I cannot stop by there to drop packages if I'm out and about running other errands. I'd sure like to see this change.

Re: Does the law care where you were?
If you cared enough about your life to defend it in a "no no" place then you've already made your decision eh?
Life > judged by six
It'll get sorted out I'm sure. If the prosecutor wants to add up the charges they will, especially if you were in the wrong about the shooting.

Re: AMC Theatres respond to complaints about CHL restriction
I use to go to the AMC at Grapevine Mills often. i like that theater but hate the parking lot. And Im not setting foot in that parking lot with out my handgun. For a time there was no 30.06 sign. Last time I was there at AMC Grapevine I finally saw one. It was it small letters and in the bottom cor...

Re: Movie Theaters in Ft Worth posted?
I don't see that AMC listed on http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; however from what I have gathered on this forum, AMCs all over are posted. I think the AMC's when posted are not compliant, at least that has been my experience. The AMC here at Grapevin...

Re: Movie Theaters in Ft Worth posted?
Thanks folks. Ridgmar has the showtimes that suit us better so that's likely where we'll go. AMC is anti and I was thinking it would be safe to take my money elsewhere, just in case

Re: Disadvantage to having CHL
Yup, me too. When I don't carry I feel naked and exposed. If a gun cannot go with I make sure to pack a pocket knife so I have something. One thing I suggest if you have an alternate carry you should train with it and be familiar getting to it.

Movie Theaters in Ft Worth posted?
I'm going to a movie with a friend tomorrow but not a clue if the theater is posted. Anyone know about the AMC at Greenoaks or the Rave Motion at Ridgmar?
Thanks

Re: DPS Demographic Reports for Calendar Year 2009
VenusPax, et al: Did anyone notice that of all the 2009 CHL's awarded, that over 22% went to females? In 2008 it was 18% females, which I thought was pretty good. But 22% is even better. Maybe enough women saw Debra Medina waving her XD around on the news and could more easily envision them- selves...

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
The people complaining about shooting coyotes are ignorant of the realities of living in areas where coyotes are prevalent predators. They're too busy living in their cement jungle of a sheltered life. I guess they haven't ever seen the inside out hide of their mangled family pet or livelihood in th...

Re: Asked @ work "Do you have a gun?" - needed a Twix moment
"Do you have a gun?" SIA "Yeah, I like to shoot. Why?" :tiphat: That reminds me of a funny moment with my anti-gun mother-in-law. We were visiting for a holiday and that particular day we had gone out shopping and enjoying a little retail therapy. Our version of retail therapy i...

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
So, he doesn't carry with one in the pipe? Good thing the 'yote wasn't actually attacking his dog, which would probably leave him one-handed. At least his situational awareness was on top of things and not lost in an Ipod like most runners  So nobody has asked if Gov. Perry actually has a CHL...

Re: Texas gov. shoots, kills 'wily' coyote during jog
They are wily tough creatures. But if this 'yote was desperate enough to try to take a dog off a leash next to a full grown man jogging along side, chances are it is in rough shape. A .380 could take it down.
