Re: $11 million 'boutique' range - Missouri City
Maybe high membership fees will attract a higher clientele while discouraging the obnoxious range slobs that ignore rules and range etiquettes.

Re: $11 million 'boutique' range - Missouri City
Austin has a similar range that opened 3 weeks ago. It's 52,000 sq. feet so that would puts it in the $10 million plus club. Memberships start out at $624 a year for Gold and go to $2,700 a year for VIP. But the VIP membership also requires a one-time initiation fee of $7,500...ouch! What is really ...

Re: Bad day at Cedar Park gun show.
It actually happened at 5:00 or a couple of minutes earlier. The show closed at 5pm. Cedar Park PD released the name and age of the victim, he was 59 and from Jarrell. According to the police his son-in-law had just reloaded a gun and it discharged within the vehicle. The release doesn't say if they...

Bad day at Cedar Park gun show.
Yesterday I was walking back to my truck at 5:00 pm and saw a man laying face up in the parking lot, his face was covered in blood. There were a couple of people with him but no paramedics. I assumed he had some medical condition that caused him to fall and cut his head....he wasn't moving. This mor...

Re: Poll: Would you shoot to retrieve property
What's scary is that the 5 largest cities in Texas are liberal.....Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso and of course Austin all voted for Obama. Demographics plays a huge part when it comes to defending your rights against a rabid district attorney and a gun hating jury. If you want to shoot someo...

Re: .38sp question
Anticipating noise and recoil induces Flinching. It's a natural reaction but for some women (and men) it can be difficult to over come. This problem is often compounded by the people shooting next to you with large caliber guns. The range at Red's (south) is too small and cramp for my liking. Red's ...

Re: Any cheap FFL transfers
UPDATE: FedEx was finally able to make delivery and the dealer called us up a 3:30 pm to inform us. Asked when we could pick up the pistol his response was "well I really need to take a nap". I thought, a nap? For gods sake, it's 3:30 in the afternoon! Should we take him milk and cookies?....

Re: Any cheap FFL transfers
I have been using a FFL dealer out of Leander. This past week we bought a CZ Custom pistol and had them ship it to him. But FedEX has been unable to deliver because the dealer isn't at home and the he isn't returning messages left on his voice mail (5 days now). Mean while, my $1200 pistol is in lim...

Re: SAXET Gun Show - Austin
I had considered going there this weekend until I read your review. I see little has changed except they now charge for parking and relocated to the boonies. The gas alone to drive out there and back would cost over $20. I remember the gun shows at the Palmer Event Center in the early '90's which we...
