Re: Springfield 1911 9mm back from repair
Jeez, that thing sounds like a dog. SAI has always had good customer service, and it's a good thing they do, because MANY of their firearms end up going back to the mothership for warranty service, especially 1911's and M1A's. Hopefully they fixed their gun for you. What do you consider "many&...

Re: Draw to Help a Firefighter?
Let me see, firefighters call in an emergency help request a civillian decides to draw his gun to "protect" them. The cops roll up and the first thing they see is a person with a gun, sounds like a good way to get shot. How could anybody reasonably think that the cops would know who the ba...

I consider the referenced article to be obsolete as the study was performed January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2007,well over 10 years ago. More recent studies should be used if one is going to use statistics.

I Suggest looking at the Springfield EMP, comes in 9 or 40 and is truly a very well made handgun.

where are you seeing all of these "widely posted" 30.06 signs? I have been in many buildings there and have seen very few 30.06 signs and never a 30.07 signs. My wife works there and she has also seen very few signs and only in buildings where they need to be such as the Simmons Cancer bui...

Re: Confiscation: State Congress Orders Once Legal Owners to Turn in Guns
Grundy, please do some research on the process of what happens here in Texas when one buys a firearm. Even if the buyer does not have a CHL/LTC the firearm Information is not transmitted to anybody. All the 4473 approval requires is either a handgun or a long gun with no make model or serial numbers...

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.
Great news on the clinical trial. My wife has stage 4 lung cancer and is being treated at UTSW and I honestly do not believe there is a better place for treatments. UTSW HAS all of the best and latest technologies with some of the most brilliant doctors in the world who work there for the love of me...

Re: Ugh never ever order from.fwtguns.com
Many company's are taking an inventory feed from some distributors and putting that on their websites to make it appear that they have it in stock. The time difference between your order and the order with the distributor can result in the item no longer being available even though you think you pur...

why would you not be grabbing your glasses? I would think if there was time to grab a firearm then there should also be time to grab glasses to see what or who you are shooting at. My glasses are right next to me on my bedside table, my gun is in the drawer right below my glasses. Have you practiced...

why divide the LTC community? Those who can financially afford the additional requirements, and there will be money associated with it either with additional class time or shooting qualifications, get to have an enhanced license and those on fixed budgets where the costs could be a burden do not? I ...

Re: Houston: Mother Pistol-whipped and Robbed in IKEA Parking Lit
This is why everyone should sue any business with a 30.06 sign. They are intentionally drawing crime to their businesses, and they choose to provide no security even though they have stopped you from defending yourself. Enough law suits will change that. What makes you think one would be sucessful ...

Re: Shoot Point Blank in NRH opening Wednesday 9/27/17
LTC Instructors will not be able to use our range for student proficiency testing. Sorry. Business decision - after all - we are offering LTC classes to that would undermine our classes, as well as the added liability. It is what it is, and in line with other indoor ranges in the area. Regards, Jam...
