I'll be continuing to look for another rifle range to shoot the lever actions and the garands

Re: Elm Fork Rifle Range is Open

Went to Elm Fork last week for 100 yd range.

EXCELLENT!

Still under construction but miles ahead of outdoor ranges I have been to in DFW.

No FMJ at all! No rifles without scopes (so no mil surps w/ iron sights).

22 rifles (with or without scopes) can not shoot on 100 yd range due to ?baffles?. When I shoot my 22 I have to aim above the target and I understand how the bullets could hit the baffles with the arch you have to shoot.

22 rifles go to the 30 yard rimfire range.

Overall... it is a great place to shoot and in the middle of DFW!

What type of ammo did you shoot? FMJ or HP/soft tip?

I ask because when I called they said no FMJ (magnetic or non magnetic).

I just called Elm Fork today and they said NO FMJ.

I just called Elm Fork today and they said NO FMJ. Soft point or frag only on 100 yard range.
I wanted to clarify (even though no clarification was necessary) and they said no fmj (magnetic or non magnetic).
