Re: A Positive Outcome at 7-Eleven
Last week I stopped to fill up my truck at the 7-Eleven/Shell station at I-30 and Eastchase in Fort Worth. I saw a 30.06 sign on the outside of the building, towards the back, that I had never seen before. It was in English only, but certainly large enough, and had the right wording. Well, I had al...

Question about Texas Gun Laws
My Wife works in a very high crime area of Fort Worth (East Lancaster area) only a couple of blocks from this incident this morning. STORE CLERK FATALLY STABBED IN ROBBERY A store clerk was fatally stabbed during a robbery Tuesday morning at the Rapido Grocery store located at 3227 E. Lancaster, For...

My "HER" likes the XD too and its not worth the time to even try to change her mind. But there really is no reason too bothboomerang wrote:I prefer the Glock but the XD is a decent gun and if a friend preferred the XD I wouldn't try to change her mind.

Re: Advice for Face to Face purchases???
Burglars and gangsters do not sell firearms through classified ads or on forums. I don't know where they make their transactions. Maybe where they trade kilos of coke and other contraband. Almost all the of time it will go to another Gangster or Thug that is their circle of friends. Also they relis...

Re: Home servers, Internet access & anti-virus
I think I know the answer to this, but is there a way I can set up our home server such that all Internet connections run through the server, rather than going directly through the router (wireless or wired) to the Internet? If this is possible, could we rely upon the anti-virus software on the ser...

Re: Seeking feedback for carry choice
Thats funny I always thought of the 1911s as a little overpriced and some of them way over priced. 1911s are just to heavy for me to carry IWB all day long. I carry a 1911 and 2 spare mags 14 hours a day with no problem. I have also carried a Glock 21 with a spare mag all day with no problem. Maybe...

Re: Seeking feedback for carry choice
A 1911 style pistol is going to be the thinnest and easiest to conceal, even in full size mode. And you will have full size firepower. The Kahrs are nice but overpriced IMO. You can get a nice 1911 for the same or slightly more money. You could always look at the Para PDA in either 9mm or 45ACP if ...

Re: Alternatives to Time Warner?
I had TWC and just changed to ATT uverse, I do like it better than TWC because the channel line up is one of the best i have seen for the money and it comes with internet and i think 4 speeds to chose from. It is IPTV so bandwidth is an issue, here in DFW they only have 4 streams and only 2 can be H...

Texas gun stores reported a huge surge in sales following th
"It's incredible," said DeWayne Irwin, president of Cheaper Than Dirt, a Fort Worth gun shop. On Wednesday, the day after Sen. Barack Obama was elected president, sales topped $100,000 -- a record. Irwin said employees are having a hard time keeping the shelves stocked, and prices on some...

I took me wife to shoot a handgun for the first time a couple of weeks ago. She shot my XD9 SC and my Glock 26. It did not take long for her to comment that she defiantly prefers the XD.

Re: Complicated CHL Eligibility Question
DPS says you must be an active member or honorably discharged from any branch of the armed forces, reserve, or national guard. If you meet that description, then you should be eligible for both the CHL and the discount. You must provide a copy of your military ID and copy of your current LES or DD-...
