Re: Best quick-access storage options for home with young kids?
I have had good experience with the GunVault 1000 mini safe as a lockbox for my van. It is quickly accessible, and allows you to choose how complicated you want your entry combo to be. Rather than numbers, it uses a combination of finger-pushes that can be done easily in the dark. It can be mounted...

Re: Suspect in shooting of federal agent has CWP
Fed agent that got killed made bunch if stupid decisions: 1) Getting into one finger salute fight with other guy 2) Following the other guy into the post office to confront him 3) Doing all of this with his young daughter in the car, now her dad is dead Doesnt look like self defense for the other g...

Looking for a "craigslist" style local site
Anyone know of any "craigslist" type sites that I can buy firearms locally in DFW? I am always on the hunt for a good deal but I am in the market for a couple of white tail rifles for this season. My price range is on the lower side of things.I figured if I looked locally I can save shippin...

Re: Car/Van Pooling to TexasCHLforum Day?
I am tentatively looking at driving down from Denton county, north of DFW.I would like to leave on Friday afternoon or so.I am open to riding with someone or driving my evil carbon machine, the suburban. :patriot: I do not mind driving if we can find enough people to split the fat gas bill.Anyone else...

Re: Need a range that allows drawing from a holster in D/FW
DPC and .NTSA in Denton both have a waiting list.I am going to call NTSA and see how long the list really is.DPC in 40 miles and anything in Greenville is over 60.I am trying to find something closer so all my ammo cash does not go in the tank! LOL!Anything from Lewisville to north Denton would be i...

Re: Holster for sitting down 8 hours a day in office?
I just saw this thread. The Crossbreed people got back to me already.I emailed them a few hours ago.If anything, their service seems to be good.I think I am going to switch to one of these from my OWB as I am wearing a suit more often and would like to take my coat off when I can.

Re: Gunman opens fire in Tennessee church, 7 injured
This one looks like one that would have been hard to stop. The shooter was a member and an usher. He carried the shotgun in a guitar case.If you go to a local church it might be wise to see what they are doing to be "proactive" in church security.JMHO

Re: Need a range that allows drawing from a holster in D/FW
Hello friends, Im looking for a place to shoot where I can practice drawing from my holster and none of the ranges I've been to in the D/FW area allow this. Practicing drawing with an unloaded pistol in my living room doesnt really seem to accomplish anything other than going thru the motions and I...
