Re: Can you ID this duck?
Spoken like a true sportsman. Spent a lot of time in the marsh, have you brianko? Do the salt marshes of South Texas around El Toro count? Spent many months in those... It is nice to see that those that choose to hunt can count on your support for their second amendment rights. I don't hunt, in fac...

Nothing offensive about his post or photos, but your post is quite offensive. This is your last warning, knock it off or you're gone. Don't post a response, don't send me another PM, just quit now. How, exactly, is my post offensive? I mean, let's engage in some rational debate here...I posted a qu...

Re: Movies at Firewheel Mall in Garland, TX
I took a ruler to the AMC Willowbrook signs in Houston a few weeks ago, and indeed, the letters were about 1/2" tall, making the signs non-compliant. If you find the signs at AMC Firewheel are non-compliant, you might want to log into texas3006.com and let Russell know so the record can be chan...

Re: Can you ID this duck?
Why would you shoot at a duck (or any animal) that you can't identify before you shoot it? Doesn't that sort of take the "sport" out of hunting? I found your photos rather offensive. Of course, I'm probably the only one here with that opinion. But I felt it had to be said. Followup : Just ...

Re: What do you use to secure your gun in your car?
If the establishment where I go is posted...Well, I just don't go, or find an alternative to those who do not recognize my right to keep and bear arms...I find that there are usually alternatives to those types of businesses...But that is another discussion... The Texas legislature has seen fit to ...

Re: What do you use to secure your gun in your car?
If they're determined they can take the whole car and get into any safe. The COM box might stop smash and grab thieves but the cable can be cut with the pliers on a leatherman so it's pretty weak security. Then short of bolting this down, one might as well just hide their piece and hope for the bes...

Re: Spare Mags
How many of you carry a spare mag for your concealed handgun? Two in my vehicle, none on my person. If I'm in a situation that will require more than 7 shots to escape from, my goose is probably cooked already, and it's probably a situation I shouldn't have gotten into in the first place. Personall...

Re: What do you use to secure your gun in your car?
Best bang for the buck...Pardon the pun... In your opinion, how determined would a thief have to be to get one of those safes out, attached by the cable to some very sturdy part of the vehicle (seat strut, underdash frame, etc.)? I've had cars and trucks broken into 5 times since 2000, so for me it...

Maybe the NRA's recruitment efforts are lacking in some way?mr.72 wrote: If the majority of Americans found the NRA to appeal to them, they would join, no?

Re: What do you use to secure your gun in your car?
I am now going to be driving a Honda and am looking for ideas. Thanks I, too, drive a Honda, and space is tight! Since any security device is only going to be as strong as the mechanism that attaches it to the vehicle, I'm not really sold on the need for "securing" the gun under lock and ...

Re: The NRA.....lets talk!
But the fact remains that the NRA does not appeal to the majority of normal people, and the majority of normal people have no reason to believe that the 2nd Amendment is under attack. Actually, this is no longer the case...as of last year, more than half of all Americans hold a favorable opinion of...

Re: Registration program/module in php?
So from a conceptual viewpoint, am I on the right track? It seems to me that after setting up the mySQL5 database, I need to: Step one - Take input from the registration form and append it to the appropriate table; Step two - Increase the number of people registered by one each time the action in s...

Re: Interesting Self Defense Tool
How is this device any different (or more effective) than a key between the knuckles, aimed at an eye?
Which in turn begs the question: If one were to actually hit someone in the face with a key between the knuckles, would you have used an illegal device (i.e., knuckles)?
