Seems like the night sight makers that use "Tritium" get them from Trijicon. Something to do with the radioactiveness with Tritium. I guess Trijicon went through ALOT of trouble to handle Tritium that other sight makers don't want to go through. I asked HK why they don't use Tritium in their night sights and they said it was because Tritium is radioactive and the German Govt. wouldn't allow them to use it for their products, ok for American's use though.Trijicon is our tritium supplier.

Does XS make its own Tritium sights or does XS get some/most from Trijicon?

Re: Ameriglo Operator night sights?
Since they use Trijicon inserts I'm sure they'll last at least 10 years. I know of others who have them and like them. The only reason they didn't get night sights from Trijicon is that Trijicon didn't make the "bases" for that particular firearm. Ameriglo does make "bases" for other types of firearms that Trijicon doesn't.
