Don't listen to all of those that talk about the "lowly" 22. I am sure that far more people are killed by this caliber than any other, war withstanding. Now get a 22 rifle! That is where the real fun is!
All that said, don't plan on carrying the 22 for CHL, unless you are an assassin!
With a name like Blackwidow, I guess you could be.It sounds like you are on the right track with the XD9. I almost bought that one until I realized that I liked single action only with a safety. I now have a hi-power. Which is a great gun!
