Re: Faded sights

I handled a co-worker's pistol a couple months back and noticed his sights were very dark. I just rubbed them really well with a gun cloth with some silicone sprayed on it and it cleaned them right up. Works great for sights with a flush, or nearly flush white dot. For sights with a recessed white d...

Re: New NRA ad

I certainly agree our children need protection in schools. I feel anywhere you're required to be, either legally or by necessity, you should have a legal right to protect yourself. If you're not legally able to carry, I feel it should be required by law that the business or institution provided arme...

Re: Want to buy or borrow Blue Guns

Holsters of all sorts are commonly built using blueguns. Leather is quite forgiving, and any inaccuracies resulting from the resin shrinkage used when forming blueguns can usually be compensated for when breaking in a holster. To give you an idea how detailed and precisely molded the resin-based dum...

Re: Want to buy or borrow Blue Guns

Check out Bluegun Store - they have a rental program that might help you. Still costs a bit, but cheaper than buying new. http://www.bluegunstore.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.bluegunstore.com/?slug=information.php&info_id=11" onclick="window....

Renewal question from a procrastinator...

Okay, so I let a little too much time pass and now my CHL renewal / Birthday is quickly approaching. My Birthday is Dec 19. As I started looking at scheduling my renewal class, I'm noticing most of the classes are booked solid. My question is - at what point will I have to completely retake the CHL ...

Re: I need your opinion on a bug out kit idea

I personally think a kit built around something backpack size is best - like the Kel-Tec Sub-2000, or the SU-16C in a duffel bag or larger hiking pack.

Re: Making your own polymer tip

In addition to affecting the way the bullet expands, I always thought the polymer tips were supposed to help the bullet feed better in guns that don't cycle hollow points very well.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

Here is what I've been carrying lately. Sig P238 in a holster I made for it. These Sig P238 pistols are fun to shoot! Too bad they run out of ammo so fast. http://pixelperfect.smugmug.com/Holsters/Pancake/i-pn9VbGV/0/L/smugshot5712819-L.jpg Here's another holster I made for it in the Avenger style, ...

Re: First time on the range with my P238

Is there a typical overall length (OAL) measurement that might indicate the spring needs to be replaced? If the (flat) coil spring is approximately 3 5/8" when new (I took a picture of mine against a ruler when it was new), is it time to replace when it's down to any certain reduced length? Or ...

I love my P238. I've taken it out to the range a few times and have never had a single failure with it.
