Re: June Applicants
I'm still waiting on that darn mailman...
This wait is worse than waiting on the "App Complete" message.

Re: June Applicants
Make sure you didn't click the "check your status" link under the CHL Instructor section. I've been guilty of that myself.neukam wrote:When I go to check the status of my application this morning. This is what it said. "No application or license/certificate active." I checked it earler this week and it stated application in process. Does anyone know what this means?
IF it still doesn't work, there have been a few reports of the site not working properly, and this message being displayed. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Wait a day or two, and check again.

My app was received a few days before yours, and I'm still sitting in the dark...texasccw wrote:Called DPS just to get an update and see if my app. had even been entered into the sytem. The lady told me that thye have it being received as of June 27th and that it has begun the process as of this week. She said to give them about 45-60 days from this week. Wow! That will out me pretty close to my prediction. Anybody else checked their status that is pretty close to my timeline? Let's hear the updates! Grammy?

Re: June Applicants
My packet showed up at DPS one day before yours. Obviously you used the online app, and I mailed in a handwritten one, but hopefully I'll be getting my PIN soon (which would indicate I was at "processing app" as well)Jasheeky wrote:Half way there? Today my status updated to Processing Application!
It's funny how some people, including me, can wait 6 months to take the class, but once you've submitted your app, you can't wait for the plastic...
Anyway, congrats, maybe it won't be long before us June applicants start getting some licenses!

Re: June Applicants
Keep in mind the old saying "Under promise, over deliver." If a company tells you they will deliver a product to you in 20 days, and you get it in 8, you will be overjoyed, and recommend everyone to that company. It's a simple way for an organization to try and keep their customers happy. I'm sure this applies here as well. I wouldn't truly expect a 6 month wait, but if you convince yourself it may take that long, then when you get it in 2 months, you will be excited you got it "early". Well, maybe, anyway....RogerTX wrote:They also mentioned they are dealing 3 times the normal volume of applications and that I could expect to wait "at least 6-months" for the CHL.

June Applicants
Ok, from what I can tell on the March, April, and May topics, here is where we stand:
Many March applicants are still awaiting their plastic, many others are complete.
One or two April applicants have received their plastic, many others are seeing a little progress.
A couple of May applicants are reporting receiving their PIN in the mail.
So, I would assume any March applicants that are not complete are due to having common names, or having other hold-ups with the BG checks. It looks like April applications are well in progress, and SOME May applications are getting entered in the system.
I figured it's about time for us June applicants to have our own topic as well. I'm curious to see which June applicant receives their pin, or more importantly, their plastic first...
