Re: CHL Arrest history *Help*
I believe his conviction falls under the "disorderly conduct" group of violations and if this is the case he will not be allowed to get his CHL for at least 5 years from the time he was convicted (not the time from the incident). Being under the age of 18 has nothing to do with it. If the...

Re: Is this sign valid?
The sign that is being talked about is required by anyone with a liquor license in the state of texas. It has nothing to do with being a 51% facility or not. I have had to put those signs up in every restaurant I have ever ran for the last 20 years. With that being said I would be willing to bet tha...

Re: Church Carry
The law was changed as said by others before me. They just added an addendum to the law instead of re-writing it thus it is at then end of that section in the CHL law book. If the Church does not want CHL's in its place then it has to post a "legal" 30.06 sign on every door into its proper...

Re: The Plastic Poll !!
Took 97 days for mine to be approved and in my hands. Only good news about the wait was my holsters were broken in really good by the time I was able to carry.

Re: Dave and Busters Arlington, Texas
I found at that the D&B's in Arlington is legal to carry in. For what it is worth if you ever need to check on a place just give the TABC a call and they can look the 51% information up for you. It did take a while on the phone but I did get my answer.

Re: August Applications
Well I finally tracked down my 22 year old arrest in South Padre Island and they have dismissed my charge and deleted my files. So I faxed all my documentation to them today and should not have any more problems from here on out. 89 days and still counting!!!

Re: August Applications
Well I just received a letter from the DPS saying there is a problem with my application. I had a Reckless Damage arrest 22 years ago when I was 17 years old ( young and dumb High School parting incident in South Padre Island during the 4th of July when I was going back to my hotel room drunk and br...

Day 82 today. I have e-mailed my State Rep and the Governors office. Still nothing. When I called the DPS they told me they were waiting on my background check from Tarrant County (Arlington, Texas) and to call back in two weeks. Man, I hope it does not take that long.

Re: open carry and chl limitation
I don't believe a CHL should be required for anyone to be able to carry concealed or openly. This is the way I feel, too. Did not know we needed to take test and pay for the right to abide by our own Constitution. It always amazes me that some many so called 2nd Amendment people favor government ov...
