My 53 Merc was black and was a sedan. If it had been a coupe I would of seriously tried to restore it. I had a 57 Chevy Model 210 and a 53 Mercury with a flathead in it. Neither really ever got road-worthy.
My first functional car that I paid for as a young Marine was my 74 Plymouth Duster with a stock 318 in it. Automatic, 2 bbl carburetor. But I really liked it.
