Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
Why "Ranger"? Green Berets are Special Forces. Being a ranger does not make one SF.philip964 wrote: 2. Never met the security guard who phoned 911 and pointed him out to the police. Apparently this guy lied big time according to Erik. Erik never said he was a green beret, said he was a former army officer. (green beret is a Hollywood name, a former army officer would say "ranger" instead but he said neither)

I am guessing that it is because of his Avatar showing Copyrighted items.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Off topic I realize, but I'm curious. Why do you have a copyright symbol in your signature line?jester wrote:Maybe Las Vegas is like Chicago. "The policeman isn't there to create disorder. The policeman is there to preserve disorder."
Chas.
EDIT:
On the topic of the Fathers letter regarding the cover-up by Metro and Costco and his assertion that the company stock is going to tank, I think he is overly optimistic. The average Costco shopper is just like millions of other apathetic Americans that are not going to care about what happened there since it didn't happen to them.

And we probably should!seniorshooteress wrote:After my telling my hubs of this incident first thing he said was that maybe I shouldn't carry any more. I told him that wasn't an option so he then said I had better be really careful. Like another poster said odds of this type of thing happening as the norm are (hopefully) slim. Stay aware, stay CONCEALED. This story really should go nation wide so all CC holders could be aware of what could happened. The popularity of the pocket .380 could soar to even greater heights. No danger of exposure if it is in your pocket. You can carry 2 or 3 cause of the size.baldeagle wrote:It has me wondering if I should carry at all. Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
Speaking strictly for myself, that is not an option. Though I understand your sentiment regarding the situation, I would have to weigh which of the following evils is more probable in my mind:baldeagle wrote:It has me wondering if I should carry at all. - the bad guys are going to get me
- the LEO's are going to get me
- no one is going to get me
Since I artfully arranged the three options in order of most-likely in my mind down to least-likely, I will continue to carry.

Just what I was thinking too. Put my hands behind my head and very very slowly go down on my knees and hope for the best.seniorshooteress wrote:I know exactly what to do now if I am ever in that situation: put my hands on my head and try not to twitch. Sad, sad stiuation. Hope to see an update soon on this story.
