And, let's remember that last year Gov. Perry said he would sign such a bill. Well, here's the bill stuck by some tomfoolery and unable to get to his desk.......

So, do you think he has this in mind? To get this bill to his desk that he stated he would sign?

I personally think he will do it. :txflag:
I am not that optimistic about any of the "gun-bills" making it to the Special Session.

A) I doubt it will occur in the first place.

B) If it does, it will be for some bizarre political grand-standing that a normal person cannot conceive of in the first place.

Though no longer a practicing Student, I believe that the ramifications of a successful "Campus Carry" on the anti-gun crowd would be priceless in and of itself.

Anyway -- I hope Berman has some influence, and even if he doesn't, hope Perry puts the p-lot and campus carry, either one or both, in the special session. My pessimistic nature (at least when it comes to politics) says it is a long shot for even one of them to be included -- frankly the main political show seems to be the voter ID business (which I support --- there is no dadgum reason anyone can't come up with a decent photo ID to vote with!), and I think that is where all the heat and light will be.

But still, I hope.

And thanks for the report, the whole thing was interesting.
All a voter needs to do is go down to the local ACORN office and get a photo-ID. Whats the problem?
