The DD-214 original comes with copies. The very first page is longer than the others and gives the specifics of your discharge, to include the mention of "honorable" or whatever applies. The other copies are normal 8x11 and don't have that info at the bottom.stash wrote:Things must have changed since I got out (1966). I JUST got off the phone with the folks in Austin (1-800-224-5744). The pleasant young lady I spoke to said that the copy of the DD-214 does NOT...I repeat NOT need to be certified, BUT you must make sure it is a copy of the entire document, and it MUST say "Honorable Discharge".
From that I can safely conclude that you needn't start crying yet.

I am not aware of a discount based on disability. Just the veteran one mentioned.
