How long have you lived in Houston? ;) If you look carefully enough, you can see 3-6 wreckers parked around the corner anytime HPD, HCCO, or HCSO make a traffic stop. They're just hanging out, waiting to score a tow if a driver should happen to have a warrant or something like that.

Anyway, handed him my licenses and insurance. He asked, "You don't have a weapon on you, do you?" That got me worried for a second. It sounded like he wasn't expecting me to actually have my gun on me.

I told him it was on my right hip. He said, "Okay. Just keep your hands on the wheel. I'll be right back. I don't worry about CHLs. They don't just give those out to anybody." I said, "That's right, sir. Thank you."

He told me to get my inspection taken care of and to have a good day, and that was that. No problemo.
