Re: Seattle's solution to crime
I suspect the sign shown in the photo in this article will work a lot better than the one under discussion from Seattle.

Re: Seattle's solution to crime
Yup, and according to a news report today, a grand 28 businesses fell for this nonsense.O6nop wrote:Looking a little further into this signage, it states "We are proud participants in Washington Ceasefire and City of Seattle GUN FREE ZONE" . Again, this is generated from an anti-gun group, "Washington Ceasefire", not necessarily the City of Seattle. However the mayor appears to support this group. (What do mayors know?)
I found no information on any group called "Seattle GUN FREE ZONE". Just a term coined by the anti-gun group.
I wouldn't call that exactly catching fire.

Re: Seattle's solution to crime
In leftist thought, someone who is willing to commit armed robbery and murder wouldn't dare walk past a sign that threatens the possibility of a criminal trespass charge because doing so would be a violation of an inviolable rule (defined as one they create).
Has anyone ever seen this charge leveled at someone who committed an armed robbery or homicide in a premises with these signs at the entrance?
The arresting officers and DA know it's a farce, and although it's a slam dunk charge, they'd be embarrassed to file it.
Only the people who are proud of the sign figure it'll probably work next time.
