Anything to advance the cause by exploiting a weak excuse to impose more controls.

If the truth be told, if the home of that 3 mag carrying street cop was raided, it's quite likely that a lot more than 250 rounds would be found. More than likely, they'd find a gun or two (or 15) as well. Why, they'd find a veritable "arsenal." The horror of it all........ :banghead:

Obviously, this is only one North-Eastern Liberal city's notion of how much ammunition two people should have in their home... granted terrorists planning to kill Americans, but from the verbiage enough to be viewed beyond the norm for gun owners. Just a glimpse into the minds of law enforcement ?
Read in context, I think the chief was speaking about the unexploded ordnance rather than the 250 rounds which is hardly exciting.

In these days of ammo shortages, most of us would call 250 rounds under prepared and almost out for lawful gun owners.
