Don't get your hopes up yet, start the clock when the DPS gets the Ap, stop it when you have plastic in hand. Just means someone took the time to enter the information into the system when the license was approved. Some have waited an additional 30 days before it was mailed after that. Congrads, hope you get it in hand soon. The glass is neither half empty nor half full, it is just exactly twice as big as necessary.

Don't let that bother you. This whole pin thing is extremely overblown. I was all worked up over not having a pin for more than 90 days. I got my pin and within a week my license was on the way. The pin means nothing other than somebody has typed your info into the computer. It has nothing to do with whether or not they are working on your application.
Man I got my PIN last week, hopefully I'll get mine in a week or so :anamatedbanana , what do you think, is that possible or was yours an acception??? :headscratch
Merely a coincidence, like he said PIN means nothing, so when you get it has no bearing on when you get your license.

I had to email them and request my PIN early on.

Judging by your time line 6/16 was roughly 60 days for you since the clock didn't start until 4/16 when your application was received at DPS. I often make the same mistake, but you are officially at 75 days today - not quite to 90 yet =)

ericsu19 wrote:I have been looking at all the information that has been posted. Most looks like they mailed packet and did not use online. It seems like maybe doing it online gets you in the system sooner. My suggestion is if you e-mail them wanting information make sure you give them your full name and D.L Number when you do. It took them 3 to 5 days to respond to my e-mail for them to tell me to give them this information. Once they had that information it took 3 to 4 more days to get back to me. So send them the information each time it will save you some time. Hope this helps and good luck to all of you
Yes, always include: Texas concealed handgun license number, driver license number, full name and date of birth.
