Re: Woman calls 911....Get shot
My question is how many Leo's unholster their weapons inside their patrol vehicles. The way it has been written seems to imply that he had his weapon in hand while they were talking with the lady and he just reached out and shot her.

Re: Fort Hood Soldier flees DPS going 200 mph on motorcycle, while illegally carrying gun
I find it quite interesting the amount of coverage this incident garnered, especially since about 8 hrs prior to this incident there was a similar incident albeit the outcome was much different and there was absolutely no media coverage at all. This involved a motorcycle traveling west bound on Bus ...

It's a known fact that Chief Baldwin is not a fan of open carry, nor is he a fan of concealed carry.

Re: CNC Gurus: I need some information
You might want to look at Vectric's Aspire. It has a good reputation for being able to import scanned images and convert to programming. It's been about 20 yrs since I had to write g-code as most design software does it automatically nowadays.

Re: New online CHL application & procedures
Thank you for the reply, I was sure I was doing something wrong! The renewal letter was misleading on a few accounts and that had me goiung in circles! So am I correct in that all I will need according to my reciept is the checklist and the CHL-100 training form? The page that printed out has a larg...

Re: New online CHL application & procedures
Im not one to complain to much, but I just fuddled through trying to follow the instructions I was sent to do an online renewal. To say I am flustered is putting it mildly. First off the letter I was sent gives misleading information as to the website layout and what to look for. After finding my wa...

Re: Texas Firefighters
I am having a hard time understanding what it is you are asking. You imply that as a firefighter you are carrying on duty and you want an exemption from carrying in forbidden areas. I understand as a firefighter one can get into some questionable situations, but the need to carry on duty is for law ...

Re: Carry in National Parks - Decision Made
As much as I have looked forward to this, I have this nagging feeling that on Jan. 21st an executive order will be signed reversing this. And in doing so it will be the first of many.
my 2 cents worth.

Re: "Assault Weapon" Letters to editor
What concerns me is that a majority of AR owners perpetrate the assualt weapon name and misnomer. Just look at all the questions and post referring to EBR's, (evil black rifle) sniper rifle's, and what not. Its the mall ninja mentality that will cost us our rights in the future. To those in the know...

Re: Firefighters, house fires, and ammunition
Lets see, I've been a Firefighter for 24 yrs and in those yrs it has never even been a subject that was discussed let alone been some sort of departmental policy. There are many factors which will determine how a structure fire is fought, but I have never had that factor cross my mind when deciding ...

Re: Do we have a catch phrase/motto/saying??
Many supporters of the 2nd amendment use MOLON LABE... The Greek phrase MolÅ?n labe! (Μολὼν λαβÎ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [moˈloË?n laˈbe], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Effort [το] take [them]!", is a classical expression of defiance reported by ...

Re: Ever wonder what a housefire will do to your ammo cache?
Well, I have been a Firefighter in Texas going on 23 yrs. I have been in more structure fires than I can remember and in all that time I have seen one instance of ammo cooking off. I can tell you for a fact that it is not even something I consider before making entrance into a fire, there are a heck...
