Thanks all. I'll have to seek out those dealers if I can make it over there.

Thanks very much. Just what I needed to know.htxred wrote:FORM 4473 AND A state issued ID is all you need i think. waiting peroid is about 1 to 2 minutes, or if they are busy up to 5 or 10 minutes. then u put it in your car and go home. :)sqShane wrote:Hi everyone, I'm a new member here. I have a quick question since it's been about 15 years since I purchased a gun at a gun show. Have the laws changed so that you cannot buy a gun and take it with when you leave? Or if I have valid ID, etc., can I fill out the paperwork and leave with the gun I purchased? I vaguely recall hearing that there was some waiting period, after which I assume they would ship the gun to a local FFL holder for you--if correct, that kind of blows any cost advantage out the door. Thanks.

Now a question about this particular show: At least many years ago, some shows were known for being "high-priced" while others were known as places for good deals--I don't know anything about this particular show. Anyone want to speculate on the probability of a finding a NIB Springfield XD9 (4" Service in Black) for around $400 at the show? I read in another post somewhere that they were going for that at shows. I'm asking because it would be a three hour round trip drive from where I live, and I don't want to waste the time and gas if things are high priced.
