The point is that any busy professional of any type is not going to indulge a long, rambling complaint like this. If you want your letter to be read by a person of influence, it should be well-crafted, concise and to the point.

Re: Open Letter to our Nation's Leadership

Actually, I wholly disagree about term limits. I know it's the buzzword and ever popular to support it but don't deceive yourself into thinking that increasing the number of inexperienced politicians in the process is going to somehow improve it.

The problem dates back to the 17th Amendment. There is nothing to counterbalance the popular vote, and the popular vote is very tempting and easy to falsify.

National voter ID, tighter controls on voters, and repeal the 17th Amendment and then term limits don't matter. As long as living people can't vote more than once, dead people don't vote and illegal aliens can't vote, then we will put an end to politicians who are "elected" by fraudulent means. Taking half of the power away from the popular vote will remove half of the motivation to fudge the popular vote and also will take one chamber of congress out of the popular-vote-seeking spotlight.

Re: Open Letter to our Nation's Leadership

That letter is far too long and rambling to be read by anyone in "our Nation's Leadership".

The problem with Libertarians (including Ron Paul) is that they have allowed themselves to be defined as the "legalize pot party".
