Re: Small CCW Question.

Thx for the info about the Kahr... however I wonder if this is a unique type of problem for >9mm Kahrs? I have friends with 9mm Kahrs that are 100% reliable. Of course I am attentive to this issue since I was planning to buy a CW9 for carry but maybe I should hold off.

Re: Small CCW Question.

I thought early reports were that the LCP is less reliable and worked-out than the P3AT ???

Re: Small CCW Question.

Well, there are rumblings about Kel-Tecs not being appropriate for a huge number of rounds in their lifetime (maybe a couple of K rounds? 5K?). So this number gets smaller with +P. However if you figure you might do 50 rounds a month or so through it just to keep sharp with your carry gun, then that will last you a decade with standard pressure, less with +P.

Some KTs are known for being picky about feeding ammo. Hit the KTOG forum to read up on likely good-feeding ammo.

Re: Small CCW Question.

You can get Kel-Tec pistols in 9mm. PF9 should fit in most pockets, although a P3AT is considerably smaller and it's a .380.

You can get .380 HPs. There is great debate about whether HPs are better for a .380 or whether FMJ are better given the lighter loads.

Of course if you get a Kel-Tec 9mm then you will have all order of good SD ammo to choose from.
