Re: Competitive shooting in cold weather
Dress in layers, it's always better to have too many clothes on than not enough. Hand warmers in your pockets and shoes help too. I've shot in single digits, and snow storms. As long as you are prepared it's survivable.

STI does a lot of custom jobs. On the website, you design the gun, pretty sweet. It's the gun that the Company uses in Heroes http://heroeswiki.com/images/a/a2/Awi_gun_bennet_shoots_sylar.jpg http://heroeswiki.com/images/thumb/e/ee/Company_gun_mohinder.jpg/250px-Company_gun_mohinder.jpg Actually th...

Re: Bar Sto or Wilson...
Most aftermarket barrels are going to be quite accurate.
Personally, I would go with a Briley barrel and their spherical bushing.

They aren't striker fired, but you might take a look at a CZ 75 compact or CZ P-01.

That's the cool thing about the shooting sports, anyone can go to a Nationals. It is a great experience that I think everyone should experience at least once. Have fun and keep practicing. Everyone has to start somewhere.
