I don't know that it would do any good to write my representative, Nick Lampson. He's a pinko Democrat who carpetbagged into Tom DeLay's old district from Beaumont and won only because his Republican opponent was kept off the general election ballot by legal maneuvering. Unless he's a complete idiot, he must know that he's been a lame duck since he took office. Besides, it's not as if I can honestly threaten him with the loss of my vote. I'd cut off my right arm before I'd vote for a Democrat.

I'm not sure that it would do any good to write either of our senators, one of whom is reported to be in cahoots with Dingell-McCarthy. I am wondering whether it would do any good to resign my NRA life membership. Why does the NRA go out of its way to compromise our 2nd Amendment rights?
