So I assume you wouldn't want the christianity culture taught too, right?
Eliminating Christianity from schools has been one of the main goals of the communists for a long time. You do know that the communists have infiltrated most of the levels of education don't you? Pretty much the whole Dept of Education, the NEA and TEA is run by commies. There can be no Christianity in schools but this multiculturalism that introduces our children to all of the other garbage including New Age worship, witchcraft and all other crap is going strong. Hand out condoms. Teach so-called same sex marriage. Teach our children that even porn is ok since there is no right or wrong anymore.

It is obvious that everything BUT Christianity is taught to our kids.

So essentially you are wrong. If everything was given equal time I might be fine with burqas. Since Jesus Christ and His message of salvation is forbidden I do mind that this is taught.

So "New Age worship" (I'm not sure what that is) and Witchcraft is garbage, and you don't want this stuff being taught. I'm fine with that. But the same should apply to ALL religions. Like the things you mentioned, christianity, too, has no place in public education.

As for pornography and same sex marriage, just because you believe it to be wrong doesn't make it so. You are certainly entitled to believe what you wish...heck, I know people who believe in ghosts. Doesn't mean it's right though.

Full disclosure, I really don't subscribe to any of the story books. I was born and raised Roman Catholic, but grew tired of the hypocrisy in religion (again, only my opinion). I do appreciate the candor though! :tiphat:

Why should it be? Heck, why should any culture be taught at the primary or secondary level? We have kids graduating that can barely read, have extreme issues with math, know nothing of real history, and can't think critically. Primary and secondary education should focus on teaching students the basic life skills needed to get by. Let culture and other such non-life skills be taught at the collegiate level.
I agree 100%. I think religion has no place in public education. I was just curious what Any's thoughts were.

I hardly see this as taking "Christianity out of schools". What's wrong with a little knowledge?
When they start teaching American history and the Constitution, then we can talk about additional courses covering other cultures if there's time in the curriculum. Until then, they can take their multiculturalism and stick it where the sun don't shine.
They don't? You should check out the CSCOPE curriculum.

There are more if you are so inclined...
