The only good thing about the weather here is the winters are mild or more like fall to most. 90s are nothing! When it gets to 105-110 and near 100% humidity (houston)you have to be crazy to love that! Go mow your lawn in that! I just came back from Tennessee and they were complaining about low 90s and. 40% humidity. I wore jeans at night.
Edit: that being said this summer has been mild for most of the south and at least in Houston we have gotten rain this summer!
Anyways carrying loaded in your vehicle is legal.before I got my chl 6 years ago that's how I carried while waiting for my plastic. Personally I think the first class should be about 4-6 hours and all chl holders should be required to score 230 as the minimum and instructors should be able to score 240 or higher but that's just me.
