I am sure they can, but recently I shipped a 10# 1700 page report to someone using Fed Ex Next day delivery, and it cost me less than $30. Had I said, it contains a firearm, the cost would have doubled...that is the point, not the volume, but the dual tier pricing based on content. UPS and FEDEx are charging a "dangerous materials" charge to the non FFL, with a greatly reduced "dangerous materials" charge for an FFL.Rockrz wrote:They probably have a special commercial account with UPS where they were

Speaking of this... i shipped a revolver to S&W a few weeks ago... $67 on my end for FedEx and insurance. S&W shipped it back UPS, with confirmed delivery for $14.
It is absolutely nuts how the cost for me to ship is 4-5 times what an FFL or gunsmith pays.
