You may try checking with the local ICORE club or Steel Plate club. They may know a few people who know some tips, tricks and training. You could also try to hire someone from here: http://www.tdsa.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for one on one instruction.KD5NRH wrote:I've looked at a few of the courses available in Texas, but it seems like everything beyond which end the bullets come out of requires a semiauto and a Batman utility belt covered with mags. I shoot semis, but I almost always carry a 5-shot snub, so I'd rather spend an hour of a one or two day class on faster speedloader and speedstrip techniques than on clearing stovepipes or double-feeds that don't happen with my carry gun.
Is there somebody here (preferably within a couple hours' drive of Stephenville, so mostly D/FW or Abilene) that offers such a class, or am I going to have to save up my nickels until I can afford a few hours of Jerry Miculek's time? Somebody planning to run a class at TacPro would be ideal, but one of my coworkers watches their calendar and hasn't seen anything along those lines coming up.
