It would be ironic to find out the bullet was an errant police training round.

I emailed Mel and received a response. I am ashamed to say his response indicated I was the first in the gun owning community to email him something other than hateful comments towards him and his family. I really think from reading his email he is on the fence regarding many of his comments to "ban 50 calibers." By reaching out in a positive manner we can change the perception of the gun owning community.

The best method is to send factual information in a business like method, sympathizing with their plight but stating your case in the hope of educating them, OR just let them go on their way and hope they will eventually fade away. Most times cool level headed reasoning, even though it may not seem to be working quickly, is the best solution over time.
