I don't know enough to believe or not believe him on the laser issue of what is being used by the protesters with regards to the power. However, he says they are using 5W lasers and then says a dog laser is 5 thousand milliwatts.

Yeah. I don't know who that is in the first video, but it isn't Suarez.

Class 4 lasers start at 501 milliwatts and, technically, I believe all Class 4s require a permit to possess in the U.S. But a quick search shows that there seem to be a number of websites that will happily sell them to you. Our common laser aiming devices operate at around 5mW...which is no doubt what the guy meant about dog lasers. Lasers for engraving metal start at around 30mW, and 75mW or 80mW is more common because they cut much faster.
I must be far more naive than I thought I was. I had no idea one could purchase a laser capable of cutting into metal. When I first heard the officers had been blinded by anticrud aiming them at their eyes I must admit I was perplexed. I did not know these were even available.

BINGO!! We have a winner!! Same here - once you are blinded then you are incapacitated / not able to function properly / not able to defend yourself - "I was in fear for my life so I stopped the threat!" :tiphat:
And add a plus one to this. Same here. :tiphat:
