I agree as well. It helps that I like drinking one of those fancy five dollar coffee drinks for breakfast. I have never been a big fan of "in your face" tactics.Charles L. I don't believe anyone openly-carrying a firearm is "showing their appreciation" for Starbucks. Rather, they are using Starbucks' locations as rally points and hurting Starbucks in the process. They are intentionally flaunting Starbucks' position on guns to obtain a political advantage. This would be like the Jews in occupied Paris publicly praising those brave French families that where hiding them from the Nazis and their death camps.
Anyone wanting to support Starbucks should do so without calling public attention to their cause that ultimately puts pressure on Starbucks to change their policy. If one wants to let the business know why they support them with their patronage, then use a simple business card that states something like "Thank you for your support of the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding gun owners." I'm having cards made up with that statement on one side and the Texas Firearms Coalition logo on the other.

Re: Schultz Faces Call To Ban Weapons
For those of us that spend the crazy money on coffee, we should show support by doing it at Starbucks.

Latte With An Extra Shot? As Gun Lovers Hold Armed Rallies At Starbucks, Howard Schultz Faces Call To Ban Weapons
Now, Schultz — normally seen as a progressive — faces pressure from gun control advocates as Starbucks increasingly becomes a meeting spot for pro-gun rallies. The country’s biggest coffee company allows customers to bring loaded firearms inside Starbucks outlets in states where openly carrying guns is legal. While this is a longstanding policy, it isn’t widely known. Activists on both sides of the debate plan to change that.

“Starbucks has made it very clear that they are not taking a position on this issue,” said Pierce. “They simply want to comply with state laws. Starbucks Appreciation Day was simply saying that is a good policy and we appreciate that Starbucks does not discriminate against gun owners. It is a way of showing the economic power of the tens of millions of gun owners.”
