I was making a point of the fact that when the offending dog is a rotty or pit bull looking dog, folks have a tendency to make an issue of the breed while if the offending dog is a chihuahua or some other lap dog breed, folks (and even the media) fail to mention the breed. That was why I mentioned dog discrimination. I see it the same way as if a person speaks of being threatened and says it was a "black dude" as if a "black dude" is more menacing than just saying "some dude".
There were a few others who mentioned the infamous Rotty and many other threads focus on Pits as well as Rotty's. Many times dogs are mis identified because they have a Rotty or Pit Bull "look". My own daughter has one like that. He is part Rotty and part lab. His body and snout look more lab but his markings and colors look Rotty. He is a big sissy dog but I have heard more than one person call him a Rotty as they express a fear of whether or not he would attack.
Like I said though. My questions and comments were meant in general. That is why I didn't quote your original post. You are fairly new hear so you may not know how often this topic and question have been brought up. I keep waiting for someone to ask if it would be OK to shoot an attacking chihuahua... .
The absolute worst dog bite I ever had was from my own dog.

LOL... what? You didn't blast him? J/K... My daughter had a chihuahua with a bad attitude. He bit me once when I grabbed him too fast as he was peeing on my rug. He bit my mom one time because she kept slapping my daughter on the leg. My mom thought it was cute when he would jump up and glare at her. She had no idea the dog was timing the slaps. he got her hand on the fourth slap...LOL.
