If it is that big a deal they can take their own car. Also, if you have riders you want it kept secret from then wouldnt you drive more carefully, signaling and such? I know things happen but errors on your part can be minimalized.
I can think of a few. Business associates and my employees. I don't need either of these categories thinking about me having a weapon on me while we are in any of a number of business negotiations. I would just as soon my customers not know about it. They may or may not be on board with the idea of "packing a rod", but politics and business rarely mix well. I often have folks in my vehicle that are not "close to me" in a personal way.

Quite frankly...there are only three people I know of who have knowledge of my CHL. My daughter, my son and my future son-in-law. Nobody else has any need in knowing about it. Folks will act different around you if they know your carrying.

Oh my.....that is not a good sign. :eek6 It's a good thing you didn't sneeze, he might have dropped you right on the spot. :biggrinjester:

When I would visit my son while he attended UT, it just seemed Austin had more than it's fair share of Kum by yah, dance in the sun naked, liberals. That place was an Obama strong hold during the primaries. They serve up buckets of Kool Aid to the college students. I didn't know if the politics of the city managers might spill over into the Police department.

Could some of this have to do with geography? Austin is the capitol of liberalism in Texas and I can just picture them having preconceived notions about CHL's. I don't make a habit of getting pulled over but the officers around the area I frequent seem to be OK with CHL holders.
