A drug user only wants the next high so he is willing to take any chances and that is when he dies. The DFW is largest area in thr United States for what is called “drying barns.” They bring over fentanyl as a wet product and then in the DFW area they dry it out and press it into pills. They have pill presses for Zanex, Hydrocodone, and Oxycodone. The pills look just like what comes from the pharmacy.

Also the DFW are is largest place in the United States for the sex trafficking. All from the border.
Actually, it comes as a dry product and is synthetic. The pills these kids are taking that are killing them is the dry version formed into pills that look like pharmaceutical medications. It is also mixed with Heroin and/or Cocaine to make Heroin/Cocaine stronger and more addictive. The liquid version is taken as a nasal spray or tiny drops placed on pieces of paper. They don't "dry out" the liquid form to make the dry form. The medical industry impregnates patches with Fentanyl for slow release/long acting pain relief in cancer patients.

Illicitly manufactured fentanyl (IMF) is available on the drug market in different forms, including liquid and powder1.

Powdered fentanyl looks just like many other drugs. It is commonly mixed with drugs like heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine and made into pills that are made to resemble other prescription opioids. Fentanyl-laced drugs are extremely dangerous, and many people may be unaware that their drugs are laced with fentanyl.

In its liquid form, IMF can be found in nasal sprays, eye drops, and dropped onto paper or small candies.
If we are to talk about it, we should describe it accurately.

Re: Death by Overdose

The sad part is that the Federal Government created this situation when they decided to crack down on prescription drugs. Then they contributed to the deaths of thousands by allowing it to come pouring across the border. Funny how the Government never is the answer to any problems.

Fentanyl now being found in vape pens.
I don't get it. If I was a drug addict, I would be afraid to take any drugs from a dealer because you never know when it is laced with Fentanyl. Have people lost their minds. That stuff is so dangerous a single bit from a pin head can kill you. Oxy has all but been eliminated by the DEA in a legal form. What would make some ding dong think they are getting real Oxy pills from a street dealer? Doctors have to go through seven kinds of hell to prescribe legal pain pills these days. Why on earth would anyone be dumb enough to think that pill some "buddy" shows up with is legitimate pain drugs?

Mexican Cartels are making look alike pills for everything from Xanax to Oxycontin using Fentanyl.

Crack is an illegal drug.

Xanax, Percocet, Valium, Oxycontin, etc. are prescription drugs found in many home medicine cabinets. The Mexican cartels now make counterfeits of these drugs. You cannot tell them apart until after they kill you. Kids unfortunately don't understand the danger of a counterfeit drug a friend gives them at a party.

So you are saying that doctors are are prescribing these drugs and they are the blame for the overdoses? Interesting.... I was under the impression that the overdoses were due to illegal purchaes. The states and federal government filed lawsuitesagainst large business for the opioid epidemic and won. There were a number of states and federal intervention on this issue. Millions of dollars were paid to states for opioids. If I am correct there was goverment funding of a war in south America that pushed cocaine and crack into poor black neighborhoods. It back fired and the states and federal government did was mass incurrcated people of color..instead of treading it as a mental health issue like they did with opioids. I can list a historical time line of how the U.S has treated minorities vs how now the conversion is save the affluent.

100,000 white kids are dying every year and no one is currently caring. I assume black and brown kids are dying as well.

And yes everything has a racial component. It is why Crack had stiffer penalties than Cocaine, Crack was more popular in African American neighborhoods so the penalties were made stiffer.
I disagree on the racial component issue. The reason crack was given stiffer penalties is that it was seen as a more dangerous drug than regular cocaine when it first became a known drug. It actually is more addictive than cocaine, even though it is made from cocaine. Heroin is more dangerous than marijuana. It holds stiffer penalties than marijuana. It had nothing to do with it being a good excuse to throw blacks in jail.
