I don't like keeping my firearms in their cases due to the possibility of trapping moisture, causing rust and pitting on my firearms. My safe has a "golden rod" in it that does a great job of keeping the interior air dry. All my cases are in the same closet and my ammo is all in the same cabinet so I don't have to "go looking" for anything. I keep my range bag on top of the safe with everything I might need at the range in it.

Not to mention that the cases take up too much room in the safe.

i have a dehumidifier thing in the safe.
i may have to go get a wall cabinet to put near the new safe for all the cases. ammo is locked in separate lock box
got lots of re-arranging to do now. old lock up was smaller .

guess a trip to lowes for a wall cabinet is next. space is becoming a premium real fast in the loading room
