I probably should be more specific, I think store employees may have seen me based on what my friend told me. He asked me while we were driving home that if I noticed a few people looking, and I said no.
When I try on clothes and carrying OWB (which sometimes happen like this time), I face the holster towards the clothes rack.

Yes, I enjoyed browsing their gun library too, very well organized and displayed.... hmm, a library card..
I spent 1.5 hrs there and didn't finish browsing the store. Got thru about maybe 75% of the lower level, didn't make it to the 2nd floor. Huge archery and fishing section.
I was turned off by their gun sign and wasn't planning to revisit. But I think I'll give them a call and see what their true position is. I'd definitely would do another visit if their sign is just for people selling their firearms.

Warning Cabela's (in Buda) anti firearms policy
In case you're planning to visit Cabela's in Buda. This is the first store I encountered that had anything related to prohibiting firearms.
I went to Cabela's (a large outdoors store in Buda) for the first time during this past weekend. I was supprised to see a lot of signs at the entrance doors mentioning that you must checkin your firearm at the service desk. This isn't the 30.06 sign, so I ignored it.
I was carry my HK P2000 OWB under a thin jacket. I think possibly a few employees may have seen my gun since I tried out some jackets there and had to take mine off. (I wasn't planning to buy anything when I went there. Otherwise, I would not have carried OWB.)
So, it looks like the employees either don't care about their own store policy or they just didn't see my gun. But just a warning for you in case you are planning a visit.
