The obvious choice would be #2, but the Sig P239 is such a sweet piece. I'm also worried that since the XD9 is a double stack, it may be a bit too thick for comfort..

Maybe not so obvious since you're asking ? Sounds like you like the sig over the other two... so my answer is to go with the sig. Get something you like and you'll carry it and become very familiar /good w/ it. I assume you are thinking about the 9mm P239? They also come in other calibres, I think .40sw is only 1 round less than 9mm in the P239, maybe better to carry?
