Congratulations. Any idea of why it took so long? They asked for additional information WRT my DD-214. I immediately (the next day) sent the info they wanted. I called three weeks later to make sure all was well and their records showed I still owed them some DD-214 information. i told the nice lad...

Well ladies and gents, after a painstaking wait of 291 days , I received my plastic . All that's left is the Wally walk. My wife received her plastic last Friday, so I see a dual Wally walk in my future. Thanks for all the comfort.

I just checked the track your application status page today. Yesterday it said processing application. Today it says Application Completed - license issued or certificate active. Now lets see what happens.

Well it happened. Wife went to the mailbox, lo and behold there was a white envelope from DPS, addressed to her. She got hers today and I am still waiting. Currently 285 days and counting. I'm shooting for a full year.

Well it has been 280 days since my application was received in Austin and still nothing. They are waiting on the last background check. and have been for about two months. How long is the longest you have heard?

226 days and my application is still "processing". Now they won't even return my calls.
